The series of arrests in Ahwaz does not seem to be ending
On Sunday, 25 August 2019, the Iranian authorities arrested Qassim tamimi bin Yaacoub and transferred him to an unknown location without presenting any warrant or any legal authorization, sources confirmed.
Qassim al-Tamimi, a 28-year-old married man with two children, lives in the Zahiriya neighborhood.
Qassem al-Tamimi is the brother of the martyr Malik al-Tamimi.
Six days later, on 31.8.2019 Iranian intelligence forces arrested another Ahwazi citizen. 32-year-old Kazem Swari, resident of al-Ain neighborhood in the capital city of Ahwaz was arrested from his home and moved to an unknown location.
Kazem Swari is married, has a child and works as a taxi driver.
According to the relatives of the detainee, the Iranian authorities have not yet informed the detainee about the reasons for his arrest, which is contrary to international and humanitarian laws, which provide for the detainee to be informed about the reasons for his arrest.
