On Sunday January 19, 2020 the Iranian Intelligence has transferred the Alahwaz prisoner Yousef Suwari from Alahwaz to one of its secret prisons.

This is considered as a mean to exert pressure on his brother Essa Mahdi Alfakher to stop his activities demanding human rights and independence, and stopping aggression, starvation, forced deportation of the people of Alahwaz. The Iranian authority have raised their bail to relaise Yousef from 0.5 billion to 50 billion Iranian Riyal.

Yousef Suwari was arrested in November 2018 together with his father and his minor sister after raiding their house in Alahgwaz village of Abuhemaidah, beating them by the Iranian Intelligence and security forces, without any legal indictment.

Mr. Suwari currently suffers from deteriorating health as a result of the psychological and physical torture by the Iranian intelligence forces without even the basic health care.

This violation of human rights is part of the Iranian policy to pressure civil activists abroad to stop their campaign of exposing the Iranian crimes against the people of Alahwaz.
