As the second anniversary of attacking the Iranian military parade in Ahwaz is approaching, the Iranian regime authorities moved four Ahwazi prisoners from the central prison of Shayban located in the capital city of Ahwaz to one of its secret prisons to uphold the death sentence against them.
The Iranian regime authorities sentenced three of them to death. And the ruling was upheld by the supreme court in Tehran.
Although the fourth prisoner did not receive the same ruling, he was moved along with the three prisoners sentenced to death to one of its secret prisons.
Despite the humanitarian and UN calls on the Iranian authorities to allow the prisoners to hire a defense lawyer and hold transparent, public and fair trials, the Iranian authorities accused the four prisoners (Ali Al-Mutairi, Hussein Al-Silawi, and Ali Al-Khazraji along with the other prisoner) of enmity to God and His Messenger and inciting against national security, without bringing forth any proofs, which constitutes a flagrant breach of the humanitarian and international laws.
The Iranian authorities, via channels affiliated with the IRGC, aired fabricated confessions of the Ahwazi prisoners, in which they admitted to carrying out armed attacks against the IRGC and security personnel.
This prompted the Ahwazi Human Rights Organization to describe the trial as a charade like the precedent trials involving fabricated confessions taken under the internationally banned physical and psychological duress.
Tayf Hamad al-Tamimi, a member of the organization, stated that the Iranian authorities since 1925 have been pursuing, after imposing its military domination over Ahwaz, the policy of intimidation and terrorization through the death sentences and lengthy prison sentences extending to tens of years against Ahwazi activists who call on the Iranian regime authorities to respect their human rights enshrined in international laws.
The Ahwazi Human Rights Organization - which is an independent Ahwazi humanitarian organization registered with the German authorities and taking Hamburg as its main headquarters - appeals to the United Nations Human Rights Council and international humanitarian organizations, on top of them comes Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, to take urgent action to save lives Ahwazi prisoners from execution and put pressure on the Iranian regime to respect international and humanitarian laws.
Ahwazi human rights sources confirmed that the Iranian authorities accused Ali Al-Mutairi, along with two others, named: Abbas Rabiei and Musallam Al-Amiri bin Jassim, of killing two members of the Revolutionary Guard Basij forces in September 2018. Ali Al-Mutairi was sentenced to death and the verdict was upheld in the Iranian supreme court. Musallam al-Amiri and Abbas al-Rubaie await a sentence by the Revolutionary Court.
The sources added that the Iranian authorities have arrested Ali Al-Mutairi's father since 2018, bringing no legal justification.
In May of 2017, Iranian security forces arrested 26-year-old citizen Ali Khazraji (Khasraji) from Al-Thawra neighborhood in the capital, Al-Ahwaz, along with his 30-year-old friend, Hussein Silawi, after they raided his home in Al-Khabina neighborhood in the capital city of Ahwaz, and their friend was Nasser Al-Maramidi (Khafajian), 33. They all are accused of inciting against the Iranian national security and attacking security personnel in the Ahwazi capital.
Reports indicate that the Iranian intelligence transferred the three prisoners to its secret prisons and inflicted the most horrific forms of physical and psychological torture against them.
